New Street Art Signage
CW Duke HQ, Newfoundland Circus
We have commissioned local graffiti artists Cheo and Sokem to paint a large, full-height mural on the side of our head office opposite the entrance to Cabot Circus at the beginning of the M32.
The graffiti design is a homage to Bristol and incorporates local icons Wallace and Gromit. Director Jon Porter said “We are proud to call Bristol our home and we wanted a design that would pay tribute to this city, something that people would be interested in.
Street art is huge in Bristol, especially in the Stokes Croft / St Pauls area where we are based and have been part of the community for over 20 years, so we thought designing our signage in a graffiti style would fit in nicely with the surrounding area.
A lot of people in the city have a big connection with Wallace and Gromit, both as beloved television characters but also thanks to the excellent work of Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal, the Bristol Children’s Hospital Charity, just up the road from us.
We worked closely with Yuzu Creative and Cheo and once we saw this design we thought it perfectly mixed all of the elements together”.
The building is situated at the beginning of the M32, opposite the Cabot Circus car park entrance so can be seen from both the road and the path. CW Duke used Yuzu Creative to organise and manage the project which was completed over the early May Bank Holiday Weekend.
