Abbey has retail branches on almost every High Street in Britain. CW Duke is working on the fast-track two-year rolling programme to re-brand all of the Abbey branches.
CW Duke have so far successfully refurbished 56 branches (all on-time and on-budget) and are currently working on the further 74 branches.
As part of the project, Abbey have stipulated:
- All branches should stay open for business during refurbishment.
- All work should be completed outside of normal working hours.
- All branches have to be “useable” by opening time.
- CW Duke must liaise with local alarm centres (tripping, motion-sensors, notification of power offs etc.)
- All contractor staff must be trustworthy and sensitive to each branch’s requirements.
- All contractor staff must be security vetted to work in secure areas with sensitive documentation.
The newly refurbished branches have reported an increase in footfall and good customer feedback on the new look interiors.
